Dr. Lisa Destun

Dr. Destun obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She began working in private practice in 1999, opened her own practice in 2002, and welcomed her first associate into the practice in 2004. She has taught several psychology courses at the University of Western Ontario over the years, primarily in the area of Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, and Human Sexuality. Dr. Destun has a special interest in couple therapy, but also has a portion of her practice devoted to work with individuals. She provides psychodynamic, insight-oriented, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy (MCBT).

Dr. Karin Gleason

Dr. Karin Gleason obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2000, with a research focus on attachment relationships. She has been a psychologist working with children with developmental disabilities at CPRI in London and in private practice since that time. She is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide services to adults, adolescents, children, and families. Dr. Gleason works with children, youth and adults with various concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, traumatic stress, difficulty managing emotions, and family/parenting issues. She integrates various intervention techniques based on cognitive-behavioural, emotion-focused, and insight-oriented therapy to meet each client’s treatment needs. Dr. Gleason is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Clinical Psychology at Western University.

Dr. Nicola McHale

Dr. McHale completed her psychology residency at the Western University Counselling Centre, and London Health Sciences Centre. She joined Dr. Destun’s practice in 2014 and is also employed, part-time, in the First Episode Mood and Anxiety Program (FEMAP) at the London Health Sciences Centre. She provides individual therapy for adults and emerging adults and has a primary interest in treating mood and anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, emotion regulation difficulties, and adjustment to major life transitions.  Nicola provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and insight-oriented therapy, to match each individual's needs.

Dr. Tevya Hunter

Dr. Hunter completed her residency in clinical psychology in August, 2015 at the Parkwood Institute through the London Clinical Psychology Residency Consortium, and joined Dr. Destun’s practice in September of 2015. She also works part-time at the Traumatic Stress Workplace Program at the Victoria Hospital. Dr. Hunter provides individual psychotherapy to adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues with a specific interest in adjustment to major life changes, identity, and self-acceptance. Tevya’s approach is primarily client-centered but integrates cognitive-behavioural, acceptance based, and insight oriented therapies. She also offers trauma-focused interventions including Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
